This hanok (traditional Korean house) is located behind Seochon Food Street, located near Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. It is located only 5 min away by foot from the station. Le siège social du centre mondial de Taekwondo a établi ses bureaux à Séoul (Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu) le 30 novembre 1972 et a tenu les premiers championnats du monde de Taekwondo du 25 au 27 mai 1973. Le 28 mai, de la même année, la fédération mondiale de Taekwondo fut créée.
