El Estadio de la Copa Mundial de Seúl fue construido con la forma de una cometa coreana, y vista desde arriba, tiene la forma de un escudo rectangular que pareciera flotar por el aire como una cometa. La figura del estadio representa el vuelo hacia la victoria y combina las esperanzas y el espíritu de los partidos de la Copa Mundial Corea-Japón 2002 y la cultura tradicional del pueblo coreano. La primera impresión que da el estadio es que tiene un gran tamaño. Tiene una capacidad superior a 60.000 espectadores, y de hecho, en términos de superficie e instalaciones, se destaca en el continente asiático. Hay dos pantallas gigantes instaladas, una a cada lado del estadio, para aquellos que desean ver de cerca las imágenes de los partidos y el césped del campo de juego, que permanece verde aún durante el invierno.

Cerca del estadio se despliegan diversos parques, ideal para caminatas. Hay, también, alrededor del estadio, parques temáticos: el Parque de la Paz, el Parque Nanjicheon y el Parque Noeul, entre otros. Los bosquecillos de tupidos árboles, las luces modernas de las calles y las magníficas fuentes convierten a los parques en áreas ideales para los paseos matutinos y vespertinos. Por las tardes, muchos aficionados al patinaje en línea recurren al área y se deslizan por sus calles. Una vez terminada la Copa Mundial, en 2002, el estadio se transformó en una gran complejo de entretenimiento para el pueblo. En este lugar hay una variedad de eventos culturales y campeonatos de fútbol, entre otras actividades. La biblioteca fue fundada en el año 1977 en el antiguo Colegio Secundario Gyeonggi, ubicado en Bukchon de Jongno-gu, Seúl. Conserva aproximadamente 490.000 libros, 16.300 materiales no textuales, etc., y, en el edificio anexo podrá encontrarse con más de 12.000 materiales académicos. Su finalidad es contribuir en la educación y en el desarrollo cultural, ofreciendo información actualizada, fuentes de estudio y cultural a los ciudadanos de Seúl. Más allá de ofrecer el servicio de alquiler de textos y funcionar como un espacio de lectura, también realiza variedad de programas culturales; encuentro con autores, exposición fotográfica, club de lectura, teatro de marionetas, concierto musical, espectáculo de danzas, etc. La otra gran diversión de la biblioteca es la función de películas.

Built in 1939, Dongchonchae was designated as Seoul Well Hanok by the Seoul Metropolitan City in 2016. In 2020, this hanok (traditional Korean house) received the Certificate of KOREA QUALITY from the Korea Tourism Organization in the Heritage Hanok field in recognition of its historicity and quality of services. Dongchonjae is located in the western side of Gyeongbokgung Palace, at Seochon. When one passes through its main gate, one sees the yard, with anchae (women's quarters), sarangchae (men's quarters), and byeolchae (detached quarters) surrounding the plot. Anchae has four rooms, daecheong (wood-floored main hall), a kitchen, and a restroom. One of the rooms is used for tea ceremonies as well. Outside of the sarangchae and byeolchae, which are the living spaces for the owners, visitors have free access to the numaru (raised open floor) and the yard. The anchae’s rooms “Bom” and “Yeoreum” can accommodate 2 to 3 adults each, while the rooms “Gaeul” (Tea Room) and “Gyeoul” are optimal for two. The building is rented out as a whole, so no more than one group may stay in the building at any given time. Standard occupancy is four persons, and eight is the maximum number. There are two restrooms, one within the anchae building, one out in the backyard.
Cooking is not allowed in the kitchen, but guests are free to bring in outside food. Experience programs on offer include nighttime exploration of Seoul City Wall, tea ceremony, folk songs, and rice cake making. Additional payment is only required for rice cake making. Guests may choose between two types of complimentary breakfast: Korean, which comes with rice, soup, and three side dishes; and Western, which comes with bread, salad, and coffee. There are a 100-in screen and mini projector for film watching in the yard or daecheong. Towels, toiletries, hair dryer, bottled water, traditional tea, and capsule coffee are included. The kitchen is equipped with kitchen utensils, a microwave, and a coffee pot, enough for instant foods. Guests also have access to refrigerator and washing machine

The ondol room furnished with traditional beddings is popular not only among foreigners but also among Koreans due to its special ambience. The ceiling of the room dates back to 80 years ago. The toenmaru (a narrow wooden porch running along the outside of a room) that comes alive with the frequent coming and going of people adds to the ambience of the traditional Korean house, with the Sansuyu (corni) tree and vegetable garden beside the Korean-style house creating a leisurely atmosphere. Beyond being a mere place to sleep in, “The Place Seoul” aims to be a composite cultural space whose motto is “the place to fill.” A simple wedding or a small-scale performance is held in the garden during the day. The rooms can be rented for small meetings. “The Place Seoul” sponsors “WWOOF KOREA,” an NGO promoting environment-friendly agriculture as well as the right dietary life, “Slow Food Korea,” and “Slow Box.” As such, the place serves a special healthy breakfast consisting of homemade bread, handmade yogurt, and organic fruits and vegetables. In addition, the toilet paper, detergent, shampoo, etc. provided are all environment-friendly products. “The Place Seoul” is located on Gyedong-gil Road, a famous tourist attraction in Seoul. It offers easy access to Bukchon Hanok Village, which is on the other side of the Gyedong-gil alley, as well as other major tourist attractions within walking distance including Changdeokgung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Samcheong-dong, and Insa-dong. All four guestrooms (An-bang, Sarang-bang, Geul-bang, and Byeol-dang) are covered with eco-friendly hanji (traditional Korean paper handmade from mulberry tree) wallpaper, and are equipped with a thick cotton-wool comforter and pillows imbued with the scent of Hinoki cypress tree to help guests relieve their fatigue. Breakfast is served free of charge.
