Suyeong-gu of Busan is a historical district nestled between Geumnyeonsan Mountain and Gwangalli Beach. It was the site of the Gyeongsang Jwado Marine Headquarters during the Joseon dynasty. In fact, its name 'Suyeong' was derived from 'Sugunjeoldosayeong,' meaning 'marine headquarters.'

Gwangalli SUP Zone is a space to make Gwangalli Beach the mecca of water sports. The peaceful waves of Gwangalli Beach makes it a perfect condition for people to ride Stand Up Paddleboard. After being designated as SUP Zone in 2020, the 400 meter area offers beach bar, beach bed, wind bed, SUP photo zone and more. F1963 is a representative cultural complex and an emerging landmark in Busan. This factory produced wires in the past for about 45 years from 1963 to 2008. 2016 Busan Biennale was a turning point for this building as the building was transformed into a space for art and culture; various cultural events take place and it has an art library, exhibition hall, and concert hall. The base design and framework from the old factory were preserved during the renovation, leaving traces of the old building that give its unique atmosphere. Regenerated architecture and walking trails outside the space are designed to offer a pleasant walk. Visitors can also enjoy food, drinks, and activities inside the building from renowned branch stores such as Terarosa, a famous cafe in Gangneung; Boksoondoga, where one can taste the essence of traditional Korean fermented makgeolli (unrefined rice wine), and Hwasumok Flower & Garden, where visitors can take gardening and flower classes.

Songjeong Beach (송정해수욕장)

Songjeong Beach stretches for 1.2 kilometers with a x_width ranging from 30 to 60 meters. The white sandy beach is ideal for families with young children because of its shallow waters. The beach is very popular as a photography venue for pre-wedding photoshoots. The area around the beach offers many hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants. Jukdo Park is located north of the beach at the entrance to Songjeonghang Port. The white and red lighthouses of the harbor are a popular photo spot, as well as the view of the beach from Songiljeong Pavilion at the peak of Jukdo Park. The path leads through a grove of evergreens. Fishermen often line the breakwaters to the lighthouses.
