Jeongsikdang is a traditional Korean restaurant that has been operating in the same location since the 1980s, maintaining a legacy of taste. Renowned for its spicy dakbokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken), it has expanded to a second branch. The fried rice cooked with the remaining seasoning from the dakbokkeumtang is also delicious. In addition to its signature dish, the menu includes traditional Korean dishes such as tojong hanbang baeksuk (whole chicken soup with medicinal herbs), ori baeksuk (whole duck soup), and mikkuraji twigim (Deep-fried loach).

Gyejoksan Red Clay Trail opened in 2006 as the nation's first eco-healing barefoot walking trail. Walking along this 14.5-kilometer-long trail filled with the fresh aroma of pine needles is a great way to get healthy. The Gyejoksan Mountain Barefoot Festa takes place every year in May and additional weekend programs are available from April to October. Sungsimdang was first established as a small bakery selling jjinbbang (steamed bun) in front of Daejeon Station in 1956, and has since become an iconic bakery that represents Daejeon as well as Korea's baked goods.
