Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) opened on April 21, 2008 in support of the local convention industry, one of Daejeon’s fastest going business during the time. The DCC is a state-of-the-art facility with a grand ballroom with seating for up to 2,000 people and an exhibition hall with a capacity of 2,600 people. The DCC boasts 24 professional meeting rooms including eight medium-sized meeting rooms and four exhibition halls on the first floor.

Partner companies of the DCC include international meeting planners, hotels, PR and printing companies, and travel agencies, offering one-stop services for business travelers. Daejeon International Wine Expo is Korea's representative international wine festival. The festival showcases a variety of imported wines from 30 countries, including Italy, France, and Germany, as well as domestically produced wines and traditional liquors. The festival hosts the Asian Wine Trophy, a large scale wine tasting event, and the Asia Wine Buyers Conference, participated by recognized wine experts.

Daejeon Jagwangsa Temple (자광사(대전))

Legend has it that the region of Hakha-dong was where the gods lived when they periodically came down from the heavens. When Jagwangsa Temple was built in the district, Song Siyeol saw it as a sign and created a village school near the temple to train his pupils. It was his hope that the sacred land would aide in the raising of gifted students who would grow to serve their community and country. When building the school, Song Siyeol also planted a juniper tree that, 300 years later, still proudly stands by Jagwangsa Temple.

Upon entering the temple area, visitors will find to their left the Seongjeonnyeongdangji Memorial Stone, which serves to commemorate Song Siyeol and his school. Next to the memorial stone is a pond in which carp swim lazily around lotus flowers. From the white wooden chair in front of the pond, there is a large bell to the left and main Dharma Hall to the right.

Baengmagang Chamsut Minmul Jangeo (백마강참숯민물장어)

Baengmagang Chamsut Minmul Jangeo is a freshwater eel cuisine specialty restaurant. The signature dish is Korean minmul jangeo gui (grilled freshwater eel) grilled over charcoal, and the menu also includes jangeo tang (spicy eel stew) and somyeon (noodles). Their eels are large and fresh, and the staff grills them for customers, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. Enjoying it with the side dishes served alongside, such as aged kimchi and ginger, even further enhances the meal.
