Gangnam Severance Hospital, a part of Yonsei University Health System (YUHS), was founded in 1983 in Gangnam, Seoul. COEX Aquarium (코엑스 아쿠아리움)

The COEX Aquarium comprises 183 display tanks and 90 breeding tanks with 3,500 tons of water volume, making it a large-scale aquarium. It houses 40,000 sea creatures of 650 different species, exhibited in 16 themed zones. In particular, the highest number of sharks and the largest variety of species in Korea are living in this aquarium. Over 20 rest areas located throughout the aquarium, as well as an open-top water tank releasing anions make this tourist site in the heart of Gangnam a perfect healing place for local and international visitors.

Established by Korea International Trade Association and COEX, COEX Artium is a spacious muscial performance hall with over 800 seats. High quality and diverse musical or theatrical performances are held year-round to satisfy both Korean and international visitors. Foreign language services (English, Japanese, and Chinese) are also available. It has the Trade Promotion Exhibition Hall. April 19th National Cemetery (국립4.19민주묘지)

Located at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain, the April 19th National Cemetery was established in memory of the 224 people who lost their lives during the 4.19 Revolution in 1960. The cemetery features a memorial hall and a traditional wooden structure that houses the grave of the historic figure Yu Yeongbong.

At the cemetery is a pond surrounded by sculptures such as "Symbolic Door," "Roots of Democracy," and "Sparks of Justice" and a memorial tower bearing an inscription for the brave patriots who lost their lives during the revolution. Groves of pine, juniper, yew, and maple trees and the well-kept hiking path add a natural charm to the overwhelming ambiance of peace and serenity. Many people visit to see the spring blossoms in May, and throughout the year to take in the glorious scene of the sunset over Bukhansan Mountain.
