Muchangpo Beach was a military site during the Joseon dynasty and was the first beach to open on the west coast in 1928. The beach has a length of 1.5 kilometers and x_width of 50 meters. The water level is 1-2 meters and the water temperature is approximately 22 degrees Celsius. The surrounding pine forest is lush and beautiful. In particular, there is a fishing spot with a large rock formation in front of the beach. For one to two days each month, there is a phenomenon known as "Moses' Miracle," where the tides subside and reveal a 1.5-kilometer-long path in the middle of the sea. This mysterious sea road was thought to only appear during summer, however it was later revealed that it actually occurs every lunar month. In 1996, the beach was open to the general public.

The red lighthouse towering at the end of the long breakwater is as impressive as a picture. The pretty pensions right in front of the sandy beach add to the scenery. Also, Daecheonhang Port is a 20 minutes drive away, and there visitors can enjoy fresh seafood and grilled shellfish at an affordable price.

The zip track of the course, which glides slightly over the sea in Daecheon from the 19-story tower with a x_height of 52m, perfectly satisfies the desire to fly. Actors Park Bogum and Kim Youjung experienced this in 'Youth MT'. Thanks to the line installed along the coast, you can see downtown Daecheon on the right at the beginning and fly over the sea from the middle to the end, which is even more fun. The cart ride on the way back is another 'fun' point, and it takes about 10 minutes to get back to the tower. There is also a cafe in the observatory one floor above the boarding area, so it is good to enjoy the scenery from an open point of view.

This eatery is celebrated as a true local dining spot, where the ambiance brings one back to a bygone era through its interior and exterior design. It’s a baekban (set menu) restaurant that offers a hearty spread of Korean side dishes, soup (or jjigae), and rice. The menu keeps it simple with three distinct jjigae options: soft bean curd jjigae, known for its delicate texture; a robust soybean paste jjigae, simmered with savory soybean paste; and a zesty kimchi jjigae, renowned for its spicy excellence. Jjigae, a staple in Korean cuisine, pairs perfectly with rice and is a common feature at the Korean dinner table. Here, diners are invited to savor the authentic flavors of Korean home cooking. Notably, this restaurant has earned accolades for its moderately seasoned dishes that avoid overuse of spices, ensuring the flavors are palatable without being overpowering. Be mindful that during peak hours, like weekday lunchtimes, there may be a wait or the restaurant may be sold out of certain items due to popularity.
