Spirited Garden (생각하는 정원)

Spirited Garden is home to hundreds of bonsai plants in a natural garden with the theme of oreum (volcanic cone) and water. The name changed from Bunjae Arpia in 2007 to commemorate the 15th anniversary after opening and to renew the garden as an international garden. The history of the garden started in 1963 when Seong Beom-yeong, the founder of the garden, came to Jeju and cultivated the wasteland full of rocks. The garden came into the international spotlight as the beautiful space was created from the wastelands by a single farmer. The garden has been visited by many honored public figures such as Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao from China, Nakasone from Japan, Kim Yongsun from North Korea and others. Currently, about 400 planted trees are on display. Also, visitors can see various facilities including stone walls and stone towers stacked with Jeju volcanic stones, the largest artificial waterfall in Jeju, and a pond filled with large carp at the base of the the waterfall.

Hwansang Gotjawal Forest (환상숲곶자왈공원)

Hwansang Gotjawal Forest is the filming site of the BTS Young Forever Part 2 album preview video and the f(x) 4 Walls music video. A variety of flora and fauna reside on the lava terrain here, rather than soil. The forest showcases Jeju's unique primeval ecosystem. As you enter the landscape, created by the intertwined ferns and massive tree roots, you will feel as if you were in a different space and time. Guided forest tours are provided every hour. Reservations are required to join the tour.

Haejin Hoetjip (해진횟집)

Haejin Hoetjip is a restaurant located on the breakwater of the western pier at Jeju Port. Its signature dish is gumunjaengi (also known as neungseongeo or sea bass), a delicacy unique to Jeju. In addition to this, the restaurant offers a variety of fresh hoe (sliced raw fish) including chamdom (sea bream) and dageumbari (sawedged perch). Diners on the second and third floors can enjoy views of the Jeju sea. Haejin Hoetjip is a popular spot for both locals and visitors.

Sanjicheon Stream (산지천)

Running across from Dongmun Market in Jeju City, Sanjicheon Stream is home to a rich array of freshwater fish (e.g. sweetfish, gray mullets, Amur goby, and carps). In summer, it attracts hundreds of thousands of anglers as well as children.

The port, downstream from Sanjicheon Stream, is renowned for picturesque views of fishing boats, egrets, and seagulls. A restored Chinese sailing vessel is exhibited at the end of the stream for visitors. Along the stream are walking paths, a park, and music fountains, in which Sanjicheon Art Festival and a slew of cultural events and performances are held every summer and winter, attracting many visitors.

Sinsan Park (신산공원)

Sinsan Park was opened to commemorate the arrival of the Olympic Torch to Korea for the '88 Seoul Olympic Games but now serves as a resting place for local citizens. It has become a popular location for family outings, and many couples enjoy walking along the paths through the shade of the forest.
